The Elevated Canopy Pet Patio Potty™ model was developed for residences having balconies, patios, decks or terraces with little or no overhead protection from the weather. Unlike any dog or puppy potty product on the market, this model provides protection for your pet when he needs to “do his business” and it is raining or snowing. This model has Plexiglas side panels on 3 of the 4 sides and an attractive Sunbrella® canvas canopy that securely fastens over the potty like a roof.  This design helps protect both your pooch and the potty during stormy weather. In addition, the panels help protect your patio from misdirected accidents from your well-intentioned leg lifting male. An optional weather protection flap made out of the same durable Sunbrella® fabric is available for an additional charge. This flap can be snapped over the fourth (open) side of the potty when a bad storm is expected. The flap should be considered when the potty is to be placed in a windy area.

The Elevated Canopy model is available in four standard sizes: Toy, Small, Medium and Large.  We have made several observations that may be helpful during the size selection process. First, some male dogs like to have more space to sniff around before eliminating.  Next, when training an adult dog to use a potty system, it always helps to give him as much space as possible.  Finally, multiple dog families may want to consider a larger size.  All aspects of your situation and your dogs’ current age, habits and sex should be considered during the size selection process. Typically, the Elevated Canopy model is not recommended for dogs weighing more than 60 pounds or for very tall dogs.The opening into the Small, Medium and Large size units is approximately 23" high and thus may not be comfortable for larger/taller dogs. Many large breed owners have solved this problem by purchasing the Low Profile model and using a patio umbrella or awning to protect the potty from the elements.
