Maintenance
How do I care for and maintain my Elevated Doggy Diner?
For daily cleaning of the concrete table, use a mild, non-abrasive, non-ammonia based cleaning solution and a soft rag or sponge. Simple Green is an example of a good cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive soaps or cleansers and do not use an abrasive pad. Never use a knife or other sharp object on the table surface to avoid damaging the sealer.
It is important to remember that raised feeding stations with wood bases should only be used indoors or in an outdoor area protected from the weather. The wood should not be exposed to extreme weather conditions. To help maintain the rich finish on the elevated pet feeder base, reapply Tung oil to the wood at anytime. Wipe black metal bases clean with a damp sponge or cloth.
Wash the stainless steel bowls regularly by hand or in the dishwasher.
Will the concrete table top crack?
Not always, but like some concrete countertops, the concrete doggy diner table can develop hairline cracks. These cracks are typically non-structural and result from shrinkage of the concrete. Many customers consider this unpredictable, imperfect quality as one of the benefits of concrete and feel that it gives the surface character.
