My dog won’t eat out of his Elevated Doggy Diner – Any suggestions?

Most dogs will begin eating and/or drinking out of the bowls of the Elevated Doggy Diner without hesitation. If your dog is reluctant to eat out of his new raised feeder, first, make sure that the bowl is thoroughly cleaned. Dogs are very sensitive to odors.

Next, pick out your dogs’ absolute favorite treat (maybe even something that you wouldn’t normally give him) and place it on the diner table top rather than in the bowl to try to tempt him to approach the feeder. If he hesitates, place the treat on the floor near the feeder and gradually move it closer. Once he is willing to eat the treat off the diner table surface, try placing it in the bowl. When he will routinely eat the treat out of the bowl, try feeding him a meal in the bowl. You may need to repeat a step during this process, so be patient and take your time.
