Absolutely!! While many of our customers find it convenient to place the Pet Patio Potty™ on a balcony, patio or deck, it is also very suited for indoor use. The Pet Patio Potty's layered design incorporates a layer of odor-absorbing litter which is ideal for indoor use where odor control is particularly critical. Placing the box in a protected corner of the garage or basement is also a possibility. It should be noted that training an adult dog to “go” in an indoor potty area may take time, patience and perseverance.

When house training a puppy, if the balcony or deck area where the potty will ultimately be placed is inconvenient, it may be advisable to temporarily place the potty in an indoor location. During the house training process it is important to have the potty as readily available as possible for the puppy.

Because many of our clients were concerned about having their leg-lifting male use the potty indoors, Doggy Solutions™ developed the Male model specifically designed for indoor use. This model has polyethylene panels on 3 of the 4 sides to help prevent male dogs from urinating outside of the box.
