Low Profile Model (click for more photos)
The Low Profile Pet Patio Potty™ is the original model that was designed primarily for use on balconies and patios having some overhead protection or indoors. A Sunbrella® canvas cover is included with each Low Profile potty so that it can be covered during particularly bad storms or when entertaining. This model potty can also be used in unprotected outdoor areas with the understanding that the canvas cover needs to be snapped in place when rain or snow is expected. This model is also popular in arid climates and locations where rain storms are infrequent. The Elevated Canopy Model should be considered when the potty is to be placed in an open outdoor area and when constant access to the potty is provided via a dog door.

The Elevated Canopy Pet Patio Potty™ was designed to address the needs of dog owners with unprotected outdoor patios, balconies, terraces and decks. Unlike any dog or puppy potty product on the market, this model provides protection for your pet when he needs to “do his business” and it is raining or snowing. This model has Plexiglas panels on three sides of the potty and an attractive Sunbrella® canvas canopy that is securely fastened over the unit like a roof. This design not only protects your pooch when he needs to “go potty” in the rain, but also protects the potty itself from exposure to environmental moisture. This model has the added advantage that it also helps protect your patio or deck area from misdirected accidents by your well-intentioned leg-lifting male. The Elevated Canopy model is typically not recommended for dogs weighing more than 60 pounds because the sides/roof are 27” high. What many owners of larger breeds do to solve this problem is to purchase the Low Profile model and use a patio umbrella or awning to protect the potty from the elements. An optional weather protection flap made out of the same durable Sunbrella® fabric is available for Elevated Canopy models. This flap can be snapped in place over the fourth (open) side of the box when a bad storm is expected, thus protecting the potty. The flap should also be condidered when the potty will be used in a windy area.

Indoor Male Model (click for more photos)
The Male Pet Patio Potty™ model is most suitable for use indoors or in very protected outdoor environments. This model was specifically designed with the leg-lifting male in mind. Although some dogs that use the Pet Patio Potty™ simply lift their legs and urinate in the middle of the box, taking the chance that your male dog may “miss” the potty is not acceptable, particularly indoors. Thus, the Male Model! Polyethylene side panels are inserted on three sides of the potty. The standard panel height is 10". However for taller dogs, the panels can be constructed at a 16" height. There is an additional charge for this option. The Indoor Male does not include a canvas cover so it is not suitable for use in patio or balcony areas that are exposed to rain or snow. For such locations, the Elevated Canopy model should be considered.
